Harvest Public Media: USDA Won’t Implement Tougher Meatpacker Rules

AFBF economist Katelyn McCullock was quoted in the Harvest Public Media story, "USDA Won’t Implement Tougher Meatpacker Rules." 

"Several major livestock organizations and the American Farm Bureau Federation applauded the USDA’s decision not to implement the rules for the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA)," Harvest reporter Amy Mayer noted. She went on to quote McCullock, "We were concerned about the lawsuits that might be frivolous as a result of this,and what kind of precedence might be set."
