"We’re not the problem, we’re the answer”

Farmfest returned to Morgan, Minnesota for the first time since the pandemic began. AFBF President Zippy Duvall attended the farm show and took part in a panel discussion covering the pressing issues facing farmers and ranchers today.

Carbon sequestration and conservation quickly became the topic of conversation. President Duvall said as conservation programs move forward, farmers already taking those steps should get credit for their work.

“If we have to do carbon, if we have to do climate support practices and it’s going to benefit everybody in the world, the world needs to help us pay for those programs,” President Duvall said. “We’re not the problem, we’re the answer.”
